A once wounded lonely horse is looking for a human to be mastered by, someone to stroke his nose with words of praise for a job well doneā¦There are some bones, bits and pieces of war smeared about, but no humans, no one, a discarded cannon wagon next to a helpless airplane and pair of boots. War horse puts his hooves into the old boots and tries to make sense of it all.
